Järvisen aihkikko

Järvisen aihkikko is a protected forest on the shore of Marasenlampi pond on the northern side of the road from Rovaniemi to Kemijärvi. The lichenous ridge is full of primeval veteran trees and old pine trees and it is easy to walk. There is a campfire site on the southern slope, on the marasenlampi pond. Another campfire site is situated on the northern ridge, on the shore of Ahvenlampi pond. The campfire site is meant for visitors of the cottage. There one can feel the atmosphere of an old hunting area and almost smell the smoke from the campfires. Map
